Glazed Carrots Recipe

Servings: 6, Serving Size: ½ cup

Ingredients

  • 1 lb carrots
  • 2 Tbsp butter, unsalted
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp orange juice
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground allspice
  • ¼ tsp salt

Directions

Blanch the carrots in steamer. Then, shock carrots in cold water. Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the carrots are tender and the sauce becomes a shiny glaze (about 8 minutes). Remove from heat and serve.
