Duke Diet & Fitness Center Continuing Support
The Duke Diet & Fitness Center recognizes the role of support as you continue your weight loss and lifestyle change program at home.
Many of our clients have found lifestyle coaching to be an effective tool in helping establish and maintain healthy changes at home.
The Duke Diet & Fitness Center provides referrals to certified coaches with years of experience working with DFC clients and who are thoroughly trained in the DFC model of encouragement, accountability and support. Telephone, internet, or e-mail coaching options are available to provide individualized structure and support.
With its focus on problem solving, behavioral strategies, and overall wellness this program will help you make lasting changes for long-term success.
With the Dietitian on Demand program, expert nutrition support – at home, when you need it – is just a phone call or email away!
In response to client interest, the DFC has launched the Dietitian On Demand (DOD) program, our at-home nutrition support program for alumni of our residential program. Dietitian On Demand provides nutritional guidance, accountability, and on-demand access to a dietitian’s expertise when you return home. Want help planning what to eat in a restaurant? Wonder if you should change your calorie level? Need some healthy meal ideas? You’re not alone: DOD can help!
With Dietitian On Demand, you’ll get:
- Up to five monthly email or telephone inquiries to your DOD dietitian
- One monthly nutrition support phone call (30 minutes) with your dietitian to evaluate your nutrition progress
- One five-day food record analysis, reviewed in your monthly nutrition phone call
